I spent my early years surrounded by the lyric beauty of my Northern Virginia home and wandered countless hours in the nearby galleries and museums of Washington, D.C. Always drawn to historical images and items, I started collecting objects and ephemera as a young child and have added to my collections throughout my life.

Now I live in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, among the most gorgeous and environmentally fragile landscapes in the world. The influence of the early immersion into sculpture, painting and history, combined with the beauty and current exploration of my surroundings, have given me much of the inspiration for my artwork. I live in a house built in 1891 in Bristol, VA. Living amid the history and culture of this region has been surprising, welcoming and lusciously enchanting. Assemblage, painting, printmaking, and photography are the media that enable me to express my thoughts, telling these stories of enchantment.
